Following the townhome fire in Fargo, a resident was forced to relocate

Fargo, North Dakota – On Tuesday night, Fargo firefighters fought a fire that broke out in a townhome. No one was wounded, but a dog perished.

The resident of the residence located at 2704 27th Street South called 911 to report the incident when she returned home at approximately 9:30 p.m. and discovered smoke inside.

Although firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in a matter of minutes, the townhome sustained significant smoke damage, which forced the resident to evacuate.

Firefighters remained at the scene throughout the night to ensure that the blaze did not reignite and spread to any of the other townhomes.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the authorities.
