ENGIE North America and Basin Electric are collaborating on the South Dakota Wind Project

Bismarck, North Dakota – A significant agreement for wind power in our area.

Basin Electric Power Cooperative, which has its headquarters in Bismarck, has now joined forces with a Texas-based business for a 200 ENGIE announce 200 MW power purchase agreement for a new South Dakota wind project.

On this new project, ENGIE North America in Houston is collaborating with Basin Electric.

In two South Dakota counties, close to Pierre, SD, the two businesses signed a 25-year agreement to collaborate on the North Bend Wind project.

By the time North Bend is fully operational in late 2023, Basin Electric’s renewable energy mix will have more electricity.

With its headquarters in Bismarck, Basin Electric is a regional cooperative owned by its customers that provides power to around 3 million customer owners. This will be enhanced by the South Dakota wind energy project.
