Bismarck, North Dakota – A new legislation mandates that drivers yield to ANY vehicle with its danger lights on that is parked on the side of the road.
According to state officials, the newly approved legislation complements an already-existing statute mandating motorists to yield to emergency vehicles on multi-lane highways and interstates.
Drivers will now be subject to a $20 charge under the new regulation if they fail to move for passenger vehicles.
If you are caught failing to move over for emergency vehicles, the fine increases to $50 and you lose two driving points.
