At approximately 10:58 p.m., officers responded to a call reporting a domestic situation involving a weapon in the 21100 block of Matoaca Road. Upon arrival, they discovered one woman who had been fatally shot and another who had sustained significant injuries. The injured woman was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The identity of the deceased woman has not been released, as authorities are waiting to notify her family. Police have not provided further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting but are treating the case as a homicide.
