Richmond Man Killed in Shooting After Robbery on Richmond Highway

Richmond, VA — A 37-year-old Richmond man was fatally shot Saturday afternoon following a reported robbery on Richmond Highway.

At approximately 1:21 p.m. on December 14, officers from the Richmond Police Department responded to the 3600 block of Richmond Highway after receiving a call about a robbery. Upon arrival, police discovered Wesley Jefferson, a resident of Richmond, lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Jefferson was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
