Richmond Police detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying individual who is a suspect in a recent commercial burglary in the 1600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue

Richmond, VA- Richmond Police Department officials released a statement, saying that on May 22, at around 9:30 p.m., the suspect was caught on a nearby surveillance camera forcibly entering the Richmond Animal Care and Control building, also located in the 1600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue.

Upon gaining entry, the suspect stole an electronic device before fleeing the scene on foot in an unspecified direction.

The suspect was observed wearing a black t-shirt, red pants, black shoes, and dark-colored sunglasses.

Richmond Police detectives are collaborating with the staff of Richmond Animal Care and Control to identify the individual in question.
