Portion of Route 692 is open to traffic following the early completion of a Virginia Department of Transportation project to replace the bridge over Champion Swamp in Isle of Wight County as of May 6, 2024

Richmond, VA – According to the state officials, the work on Route 692 included demolition of the previous bridge and the construction of a new two-lane, single-span, multi-beam girder bridge.  

The project, originally scheduled for completion in summer 2024, finished over a month ahead of schedule. Bryant Structures, Inc. began construction on the $1.94 million project in July 2023. 

No other information is available at the moment.
