Contractor crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation closed a portion of Fremac Drive, between Laskin Road and Reynard Drive, to perform storm water and sewer drain improvements as part of the Laskin Road Bridge Replacement and Widening Project

Richmond, VA – According to the state officials, in order to reduce additional full closures at this location in the future during the project, the contractor has extended this closure through approximately fall 2024 to finish utility improvements and tie-ins on Laskin Road and permanently repave the roadway at this location while this full closure is in place.

The closure, located to the south of Laskin Road, restricts turns onto this portion of Fremac Drive from Laskin Road.

To access Fremac Drive or Reynard Drive while the work is underway, a signed detour directs motorists to utilize Winwood Drive.

Access to businesses in this location is planned to be maintained during this work.

This construction work is weather- and schedule-dependent; therefore, this schedule is subject to change.
