The Virginia Department of Transportation will close a section of Route 1703 at 2201 McRae Road between Route 1704 and Route 1707 starting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, until Friday, Feb. 23, for a pipe replacement project

Richmond, VA – According to the state officials, work will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Officials also said that homeowners will maintain access to their property throughout the operation.

Motorists should use the following detours:

Southbound Traffic:  Take Route 1703 (McRae Road), east on Route 1704 (Polk Street), south on Route 678 (Buford Road).

Northbound Traffic:  Take Route 1703 (McRae Road), east on Route 1707 (Hazen Road), north on Route 678 (Buford Road).
