(Fargo, ND) — The North Dakota House has passed a bill making it illegal for high school athletes to participate in a sport other than one designated for their birth-assigned gender. House Bill 1298 will also ban sporting events from getting public money if exclusive-gender sports allow transgender players. Supporters claim this measure protects women, those in opposition call it discriminatory.
