Days following the special election, West Fargo residents report receiving vote postcards

West Fargo, North Dakota – In the days after the vote, several West Fargo residents claim to have gotten postcards about the special election for West Fargo Public Schools held last week.

“Why was it after the fact?” one person said.

According to Heather Leas, a spokesperson for West Fargo Public Schools, the postcards were sent by an organization that is not connected to the school system.

“The district was not the organization that distributed the postcard,” Leas said in an e-mail Sunday morning. “That was an effort spearheaded by the VOICE group.”

When reached for comment, Jason Ehlert, leader of the group, said, “We have received several reports from WF School District voters of getting the mailers after the vote. We aren’t sure what happened and are looking into what caused the delay.”
