Near Casselton, a train and a semi collided without any injuries

Cass County, North Dakota – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Casselton Fire Department, and BNSF officials rushed to the scene of an accident involving a semi tractor-trailer hauling maize and a train at around 12 p.m. on Friday along with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Two miles west of Casselton, North Dakota, is where the crash happened. According to reports, the train and cross arm suffered only minor damage, there were no injuries, and there was no derailment.

While authorities examine the incident and clean up the site, the rail line is temporarily shut down.

According to the inquiry, the tractor-trailer was heading southbound on County Road 23 and the train was traveling westbound at the time of the collision.

The semi’s male 18-year-old driver received a ticket for lack of care.
