Grand Forks, North Dakota – Mayor Brandon Bochenski delivered this year’s State of the City address at the Alerus Center, addressing a live audience.
Throughout the speech, Mayor Bochenski commended the various departments, including the City’s first responders and public works crews, for their exemplary work. Joining the mayor on stage were UND President Andrew Armacost, Altru Administrator Todd Forkel, and Grand Forks Air Force Base Vice Commander, Col. Del Rivera, who provided updates on their respective institutions.
The mayor placed significant emphasis on the community’s economic development and its positive impact on the overall quality of life. He discussed potential future projects such as a Children’s Museum, an indoor turf facility, and a new aquatics center. Mayor Bochenski stated, “We all want what is best for Grand Forks. Because of that, I am honored and proud to not just be the Mayor of Grand Forks, but I’m proud to be a part of this community and call it home.”
