The City of West Fargo will hold a cleanup week from May 1 to 5

West Fargo, North Dakota – The annual West Fargo Cleanup Week, a city-wide effort to remove properties of trash, will run from Monday, May 1 through Friday, May 5.

The day before garbage collection, all items must be put curbside by 4 p.m. Items for the home should be bagged and fastened. Every container must be thrown away. Curbside pickup of items that don’t fit in normal bags will still be permitted.

Branch collection won’t take place during Cleanup Week since the truck will be used to transport big curbside items instead. On May 8th, branch collecting will start. Only during Cleanup Week will construction and renovation waste be authorized to be dumped curbside.

There are some things that can never be thrown out at the curb. Televisions, paints, oils, and varnishes, among other household hazardous trash, must be delivered to the Fargo Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 606 43 1/2 St N. Grass trimmings, compost, and other organic waste must be taken to one of West Fargo’s three-yard waste disposal facilities.

The Transfer Station at 1620 Main Ave. W. is open from Monday through Saturday and welcomes additional trash, recycling, yard waste, branches, and bulky goods for free from West Fargo residents. Residents can continue to dispose of appliances at the Transfer Station for a $10 fee after Monday, May 8.
