An accident involving multiple vehicles in Richland County left two people dead and two others injured early on Monday

Richland County, North Dakota – On North Dakota State Highway 13, approximately a quarter mile west of Interstate 29, there was a collision involving multiple vehicles early on Monday morning.

Brandon Ward, the Chief of the Mooreton Fire Department, stated that firefighters responded to the call just before 6:00 a.m. There were two people who lost their lives.

Two more patients were taken to the hospital, one of them by air ambulance and the other by ambulance.

According to Ward, by the time the fire crew arrived, two bystanders had already stopped and were providing emergency medical care to several of the injured people.

According to Captain Bryan Niewind of the State Highway Patrol, many of the roads in that area have ice and snow that has compacted it. The investigation into what caused it has begun.
