800 pounds of pasta delivered by Guardian Grains to the Great Plains Food Bank

Minot, North Dakota – Farmer Deanna Lozensky is making a special delivery to the Great Plains Food Bank. She resides just south of Minot.

“We’re bringing 800 pounds of our Guardian Grain Artisan Pasta,” said Lozensky.

And for the next five months, Guardian Grain will bring 800 pounds of pasta each month. This is just the first of six delivery.

Guardian Grain was the local pasta supplier of choice for the Great Plains Food Bank.

“It’s produced in the town of Tuttle, which is about 60 miles from here, at the Tuttle Rural Center,” Lozensky explained.

Despite experiencing technical issues, Guardian Grain manufactured this pasta over a three-week period.

In order to provide access to locally produced food, Lozensky founded Guardian Grain in the year 2020.

In April of last year, they started producing flour and pasta, and Lozensky says it’s intriguing to see where it ends up. She claims that having her grains and goods sold all around North Dakota is a fantastic experience.

“We really want to support local food,” Lozensky stated, “and this is a great way to do it with whole nutrition pasta — so it’s really exciting for us.”

According to Lozensky, Guardian Grains is thrilled to collaborate with the Great Plains Food Bank and believes that this will increase its visibility throughout the state.
