For Thanksgiving weekend, North Dakotan drivers can take advantage of a $10 discount on Lyft rides

North Dakota – A lot of locals will be traveling home for Thanksgiving to visit relatives and friends. In order to catch up, many of them will undoubtedly go out for a drink or two.

In light of this, ND Sober Ride, a Vision Zero Program, is providing discounted Lyft rides for the holiday throughout the state.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) reports that from November 23 to November 26, North Dakota drivers can use the Lyft code “VZTURKEY22” on the Lyft app to receive $10 off their ride.

According to a survey, North Dakotans are among the nation’s fastest talkers.

If every motorist regularly made the decision to always drive sober, designate a sober driver, or use a ride-hailing service, many lives could be saved in North Dakota each year.

The Auto Club Group’s AAA is the sponsor of the codes. Companies that are interested in sponsoring the ND Sober Ride can do so by getting in touch with the manager of the NDDOT Safety Public Information Program at lwahlman@nd.gov.
