Fargo Mayor tested positive for COVID-19

Fargo, North Dakota – Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney has been infected with COVID-19.

A spokesperson for the city of Fargo said that the results of Mahoney’s test came back positive late on Friday. Mahoney is 73 years old. For the first several days, and mainly during the weekend, he had severe symptoms.

Mahoney is recovering at home, and the antiviral medicine Paxlovid is already helping him feel better.

He continues to do city business over the phone and through online meetings.

The meeting of the commission that is going to take place on Monday evening is supposed to include him virtually.
