Avian influenza detected in Cass County

Fargo, North Dakota – North Dakota Department of Health officials said the avian flu has been confirmed in Cass County.

Detection of the case was made in a backyard mixed flock of birds in the county.

All of the birds at the Red River Zoo have been taken out of their cages because avian influenza has been found in Cass County.

Avian influenza has also been confirmed in three more counties: Lamoure, Dickey, and Kidder.
