North Dakota gets $4.4 million for Covid-19 funeral assistance program

Fargo, North Dakota – The Federal Emergency Management Agency said on Wednesday that it will continue to pay for funeral expenses for COVID-19-related deaths in North Dakota after Jan. 20, 2020.

FEMA has so far awarded $4.4 million to North Dakotans for COVID-19-related funeral expenses.

FEMA claims that up to $9,000 per funeral is available, with a maximum of $35,500 per application, according to a press release.

FEMA’s COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Program has no set deadline date at this time.
