Authorities warn residents of bear observed within city limits

Cass County, North Dakota – After a black bear was observed in the Argusville area, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning to residents.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Friday night, person contacted the sheriff’s office to report a bear spotted within city boundaries.

Sheriff Jesse Jahner says there’s no way of knowing whether the alleged bear sighting was true.

Jahner, on the other hand, wants to warn people that if they come across a wild animal, they should keep their distance, secure their family and pets, and contact authorities.

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is collaborating with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
