Police attempting to develop strategies to tackle racing in Fargo

Fargo, North Dakota – Over the course of a week, Fargo Police have issued more than 70 tickets, according to the department.

Due to many complaints from residents, Chief David Zibolski says there has been increased speeding enforcement in several spots around the city.

The majority of the 70 citations were issued in the 1200 and 1700 blocks of 10th Street North.

According to Zibolski, the department is developing new strategies to tackle racing and speeding in the city, including a legislative solution.

The legislation would be considered “owners responsibility,” which would allow for holding owners of vehicles accountable, according to Zibolski.

Those owners could be charged and prosecuted if the legislative effort succeeds.
