Fargo, North Dakota – A yellow lab bit a man in South Fargo Wednesday night.

A Community Service Officer responded to a dog bite report around 8 p.m. at 12th Avenue South and 14th Street area.

The dog owner left the area so the victim couldn’t get information about the dog’s vaccinations.

The dog’s owner was wearing a blue baseball cap and a black t-shirt. He is a white male around 50-60 years old and under six-feet tall.

Police officers are searching for the man to verify the dog’s updated vaccinations, in order the victim to avoid going through unnecessary rabies shots.

Anyone who has information is asked to call the Fargo Police Community Service Officer number at 701-241-8284.
