BISMARCK — Following are the North Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 case rates, deaths, hospitalizations and vaccinations as of Monday, March 15. Because all data is preliminary, some numbers and totals may change from one day to the next.
Statewide case rates
- NEW CASES: 25
- TOTAL ACTIVE CASES: 619
- TOTAL CASES: 101,001
- TOTAL RECOVERED: 98,925
- DAILY TEST POSITIVITY RATE: 4.9%
North Dakota’s active case count decreased by 20 on Monday. Cass County, which includes Fargo, saw 13 new cases. The two-week rolling average positivity rate is 2.4%.
Hospitalizations, deaths
- ACTIVE HOSPITALIZATIONS: 15
- DEATHS, NEWLY REPORTED: 2
- TOTAL DEATHS: 1,457
The health department reported the death of a Burleigh County man in her 60s and a Stark County woman in her 90s. Hospitalizations dropped by one over the last day.
Vaccinations
- FIRST DOSE ADMINISTERED: 179,105 (24.8% of population)
- COMPLETED SERIES (TWO DOSES): 104,681 (14.5% of population)
The state continues to be a national leader in vaccine distribution, with nearly 97% of the received doses already having been administered. A total of 299,209 shots have been given out. The health department urges residents to seek more information at www.health.nd.gov/covidvaccinelocator.
