City of Richmond announces multiple Earth Day community cleanups across five neighborhoods scheduled for April 25

RICHMOND, Va. — The City of Richmond Virginia Government announced a series of community cleanup events to mark Earth Day, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Officials said the city’s Office of Neighborhood Engagement will host five cleanup efforts from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. across several neighborhoods, including Cedarhurst, Jefferson Park, Gilpin Court, Fonticello Park, and Broad Rock.

The events are aimed at encouraging residents to connect with neighbors while working together to improve and maintain local spaces.

City officials described the initiative as an opportunity for volunteers to support community beautification efforts while promoting environmental awareness.

Residents interested in participating are encouraged to register online and explore additional volunteer opportunities through the city’s outreach platforms.
