A 38-year-old man was arrested on Saturday night in connection with a burglary that occurred earlier this month in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. — At approximately 10:53 p.m. on April 26, officers from the Petersburg Bureau of Police responded to a report of a possible suspect located in the 1400 block of W. Washington Street. The suspect was linked to a commercial burglary that took place on April 15, according to authorities.

Upon arrival, officers identified the suspect as 38-year-old Deanangelo Antonio Clanton. Clanton was arrested and charged with burglary, property damage, grand larceny, and petit larceny. Police did not specify whether any stolen property had been recovered during the arrest.

Clanton is currently being held in custody, pending his next court appearance. The investigation into the burglary is ongoing, and further details about the crime may be released as the case develops.
