Woman Dies After Being Found with Injuries in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — A woman was pronounced dead on Friday, April 27, after being found with injuries in a residence on the 2100 block of Fairfield Avenue.

At approximately 2:42 p.m., Richmond police received a call reporting a person down. Officers responded promptly to the scene, where they discovered the woman inside a residence with an apparent injury. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries and was later pronounced dead.

The cause of death has yet to be determined, as the medical examiner is conducting an investigation. Meanwhile, the Richmond Police Department’s Major Crimes Division is leading the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
