Richmond, Va. — The Richmond Police Department (RPD) has identified the man who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Sunday morning, March 30. The incident occurred around 11:16 a.m. on the 1200 block of Broad Rock Road Boulevard, where a motorcycle collided with a utility pole.
Upon arrival, officers found the motorcyclist, later identified as 26-year-old Kevin Hernandez, unresponsive and lying on the ground. Despite life-saving efforts, Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The RPD Crash Team has determined that speed played a role in the tragic incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
