Lane Closures on I-95 South in Henrico County This Weekend for Road Work

Henrico County, Va. — Drivers traveling along Interstate 95 South in Henrico County this weekend should expect lane closures due to scheduled road work.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced that from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16, the southbound right and center lanes at mile marker 82—near Parham Road—will be closed. The closures are necessary for shoulder rehabilitation, which is expected to cause significant disruptions for motorists.

VDOT advises drivers to consider using Interstate 295 as an alternate route to avoid potential delays. The agency has warned that the lane closures could result in heavy congestion on I-95 South, especially during peak travel hours.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time to navigate the detours and road work zones.
