Richmond Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on West Broad Street

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on March 1, 2025, in front of a Foot Locker store on the 1500 block of West Broad Street.

At approximately 2:03 p.m., officers responded to reports of a person shot in the area. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

The Richmond Police Department has stated that the cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. At this time, police do not have any suspects and are continuing their investigation.
