PETERSBURG, Va. – Two men were arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly attempting to force their way into a hotel room while armed, leading to charges for weapons violations and other offenses.
The incident occurred around midnight on February 13, at a hotel located in the 100 block of North Little Church Street. Officers responded to the scene after receiving reports that two men, armed with firearms, were demanding entry into a hotel room.
When police arrived, the suspects fled the scene, prompting a brief pursuit. Officers were able to apprehend the men, later identified as 47-year-old Raymond Ruffin and 35-year-old Lamar Raines.
