Richmond Police Investigate Friday Night Shooting on West Charity Street

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday night.

At approximately 9:27 p.m. on January 31, officers responded to the 200 block of West Charity Street after receiving a report of a person who had been shot. Upon arrival, law enforcement found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a nearby hospital with what authorities described as a life-threatening injury.

The Richmond Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is currently leading the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact the department at 804-646-5112.
