West Fargo man drives burning van to prevent house fire

West Fargo, North Dakota – On Wednesday afternoon, the quick reaction of a man prevent property damage near where a construction vehicle caught fire.

Around 4 p.m., firefighters responded to a report at 1000 block of Ashley Drive Wes of a construction vehicle on fire. To prevent the fire from spreading, a man on the scene stepped into the blazing van and drove it away from a nearby house that had caught fire. The man received minor injuries.

Other construction workers on the scene used fire extinguishers on the house and put out the fire.

Fire crews extinguished the van fire.
