Vehicle theft investigation underway in Richmond

Richmond, VA – Authorities are investigating a vehicle theft that occurred in the city’s Southside last month.

According to the Richmond Police Department, the incident took place at approximately 5:20 a.m. on Friday, January 23, in the 2200 block of Ingram Avenue.

Police said an unknown individual arrived at a parking lot driving a black Dodge Durango. The vehicle was parked next to a silver sedan already in the lot.

Investigators reported that one person exited the Durango and forcibly entered the silver sedan. Shortly afterward, both vehicles were driven away by the suspects.

Authorities have released photos connected to the investigation and are seeking assistance from the public.
