Three Charged in Richmond Restaurant Stabbing Death

Richmond, Va. — Three individuals have been arrested and charged with murder following a fatal stabbing at a Richmond restaurant in early February.

The incident occurred just before midnight on Thursday, February 6, when officers from the Richmond Police Department were called to Lemon Cuisine of India, located at 3215 West Broad Street, in response to a report of a person who had been stabbed. Upon arrival, officers discovered 42-year-old Kyron Fowlkes of Richmond lying in the restaurant’s kitchen with a stab wound. Despite efforts to save him, Fowlkes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities later revealed that the stabbing was the result of an argument between customers that escalated into violence. Investigators identified three suspects in connection with the murder, and all have been charged in the death of Fowlkes.

The first suspect, 34-year-old Shaquan Peterson, was arrested on February 9. On February 21, 30-year-old Keith Burgess of Chesterfield County was taken into custody. The final suspect, 27-year-old Darry Fitzgerald of Richmond, was arrested on February 24.
