The North Dakota State Bison may not have made it to another FCS National Championship game this spring, but they still did have some of the nation’s top talent. NDSU offensive lineman Cordell Volson, kickoff returner Christian Watson, and punter Garret Wegner were all named to the 2021 Athlon Sports Spring FCS All-American Team. All three Bison have also been named to the Stats Perform and Associated Press FCS All-American first teams. Volson and Wegner were also named to the FCS Athletic Directors Association All-American Team this season.
A North Dakota Fighting Hawk was also named to the Athlon Sports FCS All-American Team. Redshirt sophomore running back Otis Weah also earned the honor. This is Weah’s third All-American honor this season. He is also UND’s first offensive player to earn three All-American honors in the same season since wide receiver Weston Dressler in 2007.
Stats Perform FCS senior editor Craig Haley compiled the Athlon Sports FCS All-American Team.
