The Virginia Department of Transportation will close a section of Route 33 near Route 610 for a cross pipe replacement project in front of the Montpelier Fire Station

Richmond, VA – According to the state officials, work will take place overnight starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Tuesday, April 3 2, and is expected to be completed by 8 a.m.

In the event of inclement weather, the work will start at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3.

Drivers should follow the posted detour route: 

Eastbound Traffic: Turn right on Route 715 (Clazemont Road) south, turn left on Route 610 (Taylors Creek Road) east, turn left on Route 610 (Bethany Church Road) north to Route 33 (Mountain Road).

Westbound Traffic: Turn left on Route 610 (Bethany Church Road) south, turn right on Route 610 (Taylors Creek Road) west, turn right on Route 715 (Clazemont Road) north to Route 33 (Mountain Road).
