The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced the closure of Piper Lane from Route 28 to Observation Road for culvert pipe repairs and extensions, slated to take place from 8 p.m. on Friday, May 17, weather permitting, until 5 a.m. on Monday, May 20

Richmond, VA – According to the VDOT officials, during this period, access to properties along Piper Lane will be maintained, but through traffic will not be permitted beyond the work site situated between 10149 Piper Lane and 10205 Piper Lane in either direction.

Motorists requiring access to properties on Piper Lane are advised to follow the posted detour signs, which will guide them via Route 28, Godwin Drive, Gateway Boulevard/Wakeman Drive, and Observation Road back to Piper Lane.

VDOT urges drivers to adhere to the detour route and exercise caution while navigating through the affected area.
