The number of COVID cases weekly reported by ND stands at 182, the lowest number since July 2021

Bismarck, North Dakota – According to the most recent weekly data that was issued on Friday by the North Dakota Department of Health, new COVID-19 cases in the state of North Dakota are continuing to decrease to lows that have not been seen in two years.

New cases were 182 during the week of April 28-May 4, 2023, which is a decrease of 17 instances compared to the previous week.

Since the week of July 15, 2021, when there were 156 instances reported, the number of COVID cases in North Dakota has not been this low.

Since March 2020, when the health department in North Dakota first began keeping track of the data, a total of 291,093 COVID-19 cases had been reported in the state.

The number of COVID cases reached an all-time high during the week of January 14-20, 2022, when a total of 15,916 new cases were reported.

According to the most recent data that the health department has made available online, as of the 31st of March in 2023, a total of 37 persons have passed away in the state of North Dakota where COVID is listed as the top cause of death. According to the most recent statistics from the health department that was published online, a total of 306 persons passed away in 2022 with COVID being identified as the major cause of death for each of their cases. The data that was given is tentative, which means that the statistics are not yet considered official and could end up differing from what was originally reported.

There were a total of 16 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospitals in North Dakota during the last week, which is a decrease of 31 cases from the previous week.

During the course of the last week, COVID patients occupied a total of 0 beds in the Intensive Care Unit, which is a decrease of 2 beds from the previous week.

During the course of the week, there were a total of 27 COVID patients admitted to the hospital, which is the same amount as the previous week.

During the week of April 28-May 4, 2023, the following chosen counties reported new cases of COVID-19:

• Cass County: 25
• Rolette County: 13
• Grand Forks County: 12
• Ward County: 7
• Morton County: 5
• Williams County: 5
• Stark County: 4

The health department compiles its weekly COVID data on a time frame that runs from the previous Friday to the current Thursday. The data is then reported weekly on Fridays.
