The North Dakota Legislature grants money to construct Fisher House in Fargo

Bismarck, North Dakota – A bill to allocate $500k from state general funds to aid with the construction of a Fisher House in Fargo is being advanced in the North Dakota House.

While a loved one is receiving treatment in the hospital, the Fisher House Foundation provides housing for military and veteran families close to Veterans Affairs medical facilities.

The measure was unanimously approved and will now go to the Senate.

As a result of the winter storm that has moved over North Dakota, state offices and the capitol are scheduled to open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. As a result, lawmakers may not get off to a quick start.
