Fargo, North Dakota – A recent refurbishment at Fargo’s Chick-fil-A resulted in a four-month closure of the establishment.
The store’s shutdown, according to owner and operator Kimberly Flamm, didn’t stop her staff from participating in other activities near the Fargo-Moorhead metro.
“My whole team was volunteering around the community,” she said.
Members of the team collaborated with the Homeward Animal Shelter, The Perry Center, Great Plains Food Bank, and the New Life Center.
Every week, team members were expected to volunteer for one or two shifts. The group participated in leadership development as well.
“Everyone had a book that they were doing, so we stayed busy,” Flamm said. “We did a lot of development and growing together as a team.”
During the store’s closure, all employees continued to receive their salaries.
