Richmond, VA – A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for several counties in central Virginia, including Buckingham, Orange, Madison, Culpeper, and Spotsylvania, following a storm reported near Orange at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31. The National Weather Service (NWS) has warned that the storm, moving at a speed of 35 mph, could bring dangerous weather conditions to the region, including wind gusts of up to 60 mph and quarter-size hail.

These winds could also damage homes and vehicles, and roadways might become blocked by fallen trees.
