Segment of Route 1417, specifically E. Third Avenue, has been temporarily closed between Connelly Street and Center Street

Richmond, VA – According to the VDOT officials, this closure is necessary for utility marking and pipe replacement following recent heavy rainfall.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are presently evaluating the extent of damage.

The closure is expected to persist until Friday, May 31, to facilitate the completion of necessary repairs and ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians in the affected area.
