RPD officials congratulated the 31 graduates who successfully completed a 10-week course with the Richmond Police Department’s Hispanic Citizens Academy!

Richmond, VA – According to the police officials, this academy aims to foster relationships between the police department and the Hispanic community by providing experiences to members of the community to better understand the procedures, responsibilities, policies and laws that guide decision-making.

Richmond Police Department officials released the following statement:

“Special thanks to Sgt. John Perez and Officer Juan Tejada for making this program a success.

We would also like to thank The Office of Immigrant and Refugee Engagement for their commitment and dedication in assisting us with the success of this program.”
