Richmond, VA – The Richmond Police Department is investigating an assault and robbery reported on March 24, 2026, in the 1800 block of Westmoreland Street.
According to police, the victim was approached by an unknown male and later attacked from behind during a physical altercation.
The suspect reportedly took the victim’s phone before fleeing the area on foot.
Authorities said the suspect was last seen heading eastbound near Westmoreland Street.
No additional suspect description has been released.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the department or Crime Stoppers as the investigation remains ongoing.
