Richmond Man Dies After Being Struck by SUV on Hull Street Road

RICHMOND, Va. — A 66-year-old Richmond man was killed after being struck by an SUV while attempting to cross Hull Street Road on Friday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 6:37 p.m. on February 21, when officers from the Richmond Police Department responded to a call about a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle in the 3800 block of Hull Street Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found Charles Hunt, a resident of Richmond, lying unresponsive in the westbound lanes of the road. Emergency responders quickly transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

According to the Richmond Police Department’s Crash Team, Hunt was attempting to cross the street mid-block from the north side to the south side when he was struck by an SUV traveling in the westbound left lane. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the accident, and no charges have been filed at this time.
