Pedestrian Killed in Crash on West Broad Street in Henrico County

Henrico County, VA — A man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Henrico County on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 8:35 p.m. on April 28, when officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival at the scene, located on West Broad Street near Pemberton Road, officers found an unidentified man who had succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.

According to the police, the driver involved in the crash has been fully cooperative with the investigation. At this time, no further details about the circumstances surrounding the accident have been disclosed.

The Henrico County Police Division’s Traffic Safety Unit is leading the investigation. As part of the response, West Broad Street from Pemberton Road to Stillman Parkway was closed for several hours, but the road reopened shortly after 11 p.m.
