Operator of the Dakota Access Pipeline faces $93,000 fine

Bismarck, North Dakota – The Dakota Access Pipeline’s operator is facing fines of over 93 thousand dollars for safety violations.

Some stormwater drainage valves on tanks at six facilities are improperly positioned, according to the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.

Operators are also being cited for failing to correct issues related to issues such as the line’s ability to relieve pressure.

Officials claim there is no evidence of any oil leaks as a result of the issues.
