West Fargo, North Dakota – On Friday, April 28, 2023, at around 10:46 p.m., the West Fargo Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1635 Westwood Court. When crews arrived, they saw heavy black smoke coming from the house and flames, which prompted them to launch a transitional attack to put out and contain the fire.
The cause of the incident is presently being investigated, and the house sustained extensive smoke and fire damage.
Damage amounts have not yet been calculated.
The fire forced the evacuation of numerous residents, but neither residents nor first responders were hurt.
Firefighters stayed on the scene to keep an eye on any new hot spots throughout the building. The Fargo Fire Department, Sanford Ambulance, Salvation Army, and Red Cross all provided help to the West Fargo Fire Department.
