North Dakota to extend healthcare coverage for pregnant women and new moms

Bismarck, North Dakota – The program run by North Dakota’s Health and Human Services is expanding its coverage of medical services to include expectant moms and new mothers.

The duration of coverage has been increased from the previous 30 days to a full year, according to state officials.

Mammograms are one example of the kind of preventative care that is included under this plan, along with postpartum exams, mental health therapies, and other services.
